Aline E. Sylvestre

Aline E. Sylvestre, 91, of Dayton and formerly of Biddeford, passed away with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at home.

She was born in Sanford on December 7, 1932, a daughter of Joseph and Rose (Labelle) Dubois. The family moved to Biddeford and she was educated from St. Andre's School.

On August 30, 1952, Aline married Jean R. Sylvestre and the couple started their life together. She was a home-maker and loved raising their four daughters. Being from the generation of hard work, Aline also was employed by the Edgewater Motel in Old Orchard Beach for many years and later for Pratt & Whitney, retiring in 1997.

Aline enjoyed crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, she appreciated the time spent with her family, especially around the holidays. She loved Christmas and putting up her Christmas village for everyone to enjoy. Many special memories were made that the family will hold on to and cherish forever. She will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her husband Jean Sylvestre on March 31, 2004 and by three brothers Robert Dubois, Maurice Dubois and Donald Dubois.

She is survived by her four daughters Claire Hutchins, Diane Poirier, Joyce Parker and Carol Thibodeau and by eight grandchildren Mary Tracy and husband Marc, Scott Sanborn, Steven Hutchins and Deborah Bailey, Sherry Amnotte, Paul Parker, Amanda Hutchins, Shaun Amnotte and Pam Therrien and husband Joseph and 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by two brothers Leo Dubois and Fernande Dubois and two sisters Lucille Boucher and Doris Goulet and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in July. Time to be announced.
