Alphe Binette Jr., 80, of Freeport, passed away with his family by his side at home Monday evening on June 20, 2022.

He was born in Saco on September 12, 1941, a son of Alphe and Doris (Weeman) Binette. He was educated from the Saco school system and Thornton Academy.

Alphe served his country in the United States Army. After the service he met and married his first wife Winnie Coughlin.  Together they raised two wonderful children, Alphe-Shawn and Lynn-Marie.  When the family was still very young they moved to Freeport. He continued with the Reserves throughout his life.

Alphe was employed by Eastland Shoe for many years.

He married his second wife Carol Thebarge eighteen years ago. They enjoyed many cruises, playing poker and going to casinos. Alphe also followed the Green Bay Packers and cherished his prized Irish Wolf Hounds.

Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife Carol (Thebarge) Binette, one son Alphe Shawn Binette and his wife Jennifer, one daughter Lynn Marie Binette and grandson Michael Wing, and one step-son Jeffrey Thebarge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
