Andrew J. Gagne, 91, of Hollis, and formerly of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Gorham House.

He was born in Biddeford on October 10, 1930, a son of Henry and Amelia (Marcotte) Gagne. He was educated from Biddeford schools.

Earlier, Andrew was employed by local shoe shops for several years. Later, he worked for over 20 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Old Orchard Beach. He enjoyed this job and the relationships he made in the community. During retirement, he continued to work and help the community as a self employed handyman. He was known for his sense of humor, his ability to fix things and one to keep busy. He was truly a man from another generation, the generation of hard work. He will be sadly missed.

He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Dixon) Gagne on March 30, 2010, by one son Robert A. Gagne on March 4, 2020 and by several siblings.

He is survived by his four children David W. Gagne and his wife Dianne, James H. Gagne, Carol A. Howe and her husband Eric and Jo-Anne G. Remillard, 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
