Obituary

Andrew G. Tremblay

Biddeford

Andrew G. Tremblay, 37, of Biddeford, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

He was born in Biddeford on July 12, 1984, son of Dennis and Yvette (Goulet) Tremblay.

Andrew graduated from Biddeford High School, class of 2002. He achieved Associate's Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Electronics from Southern Maine Community College. He then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern Maine. After college, he went to work for Idexx Laboratories in Westbrook, a job he really enjoyed.

Andrew had many hobbies. He loved golf, skiing and volleyball. He proudly served as a board member of the Maine State Volleyball Association. He was a talented musician and excelled in the award winning Biddeford High School Drumline. After graduation, he continued his love for music as a percussion instructor for BHS. Andrew loved riding his motorcycle. He had a great interest in mechanics and how things worked. It wasn't uncommon to find him disassembling things only for the joy and challenge of putting them back together again… from electronics to car stereos and even his motorcycle!

Andrew survived a severe traumatic brain injury, beat all the odds and inspired everyone he met. His network of supporters reached far and wide. His perseverance was second to none and he worked extremely hard at his therapies and healing. He was a positive role model and true inspiration!

Most of all, he loved his friends and family. He especially found great joy in spending time with his nephews Koby and Graham (who adored him). Andrew had an incredible sense of humor and was kind to everyone he met. Andrew would light up any room he entered. He will be sadly missed by many.

He was predeceased by his father Dennis on September 8, 2018.

Andrew is survived by his grandmother Doris Goulet, his mother Yvette Tremblay, his brother Matt Tremblay and wife Eliza and nephews Koby and Graham. He is also survived by uncles Michael Tremblay, Guy Tremblay and wife Maureen, aunts Aline Jacques and husband Deacon Kevin, Madeleine Goulet and wife Sonja Johnson and two cousins Joshua Jacques and wife Kylie and Captain Zachariah Jacques and wife Katarina.
