Anita V. Leclair, 78, of Biddeford, passed away surrounded by family and friends at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Biddeford on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Anita was born in Sanford on December 13, 1947, a daughter of Gaston and Rita (Morin) Picard.

Anita was employed in various industries. In her early years, she was in the service industry working as a waitress at Danton's Restaurant in Old Orchard Beach. She also worked as a supervisor at Shape and for Waterbury in Biddeford. Having a passion for helping others, lead her into healthcare working as a caregiver in the public and private sector.

Anita married to Lawrence Leclair and the couple raised three children.

They enjoyed the outdoors and riding motorcycles together. They experienced many adventures that they spoke of quite often. She liked going to casinos with her friends Desh and Linda. She also was a member of the Biddeford Eagles and the Amvets.

She will be remembered as a loving and kind hearted person. She loved to laugh and smile. She will be sadly missed. Her favorite pastime was to sing the chipmunk song for all, even at her places of employment.

Anita was predeceased by her husband Larry and by her parents Rita and Gaston Picard.

Anita is survived by her three children, Robert Leclair "JR" and wife Kim, Barbara Leclair and Billy Leclair, her siblings Thomas "Tommy" Picard, Michael Picard, Marc Picard and wife Jane and sister Denise Kaloyares.

She also leaves behind her grandchildren Joshua Leclair, Christopher Arnaudin, Skiei Thorn and Timmy Beaudoin, great grandchildren Ella and Colton, nieces Kori Fowler and husband Richard, Jamie Kaloyares and son Bentley.

Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM with a Funeral Service at 1PM Friday, January 23, 2026, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, Saco. A Graveside Service will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Biddeford. Arrangements by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
