Arline P. Richard

Arline P. Richard, 88, of Saco, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Biddeford on January 2, 1935 a daughter of Raoul and Mabel (Tremblay) Constant. She graduated from St. Joseph's High School, class of 1954.

On December 27, 1958, Arline married her husband Raymond E. Richard at St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford.

She was employed by Biddeford Saco Grain for several years. She also worked for the Maine Bonding & Casualty Company and then as a bookkeeper for Maine Medical Center. In 1987, she handled outpatient registration for Southern Maine Medical Center, retiring in 2005. During retirement, Arline took care of her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and cherished the time spent with family. She will be sadly missed.

When time permitted, she enjoyed bus trips, time at the family camp and Saturday mornings with the breakfast bunch. She also liked gardening, walking and reading.

She was predeceased by three siblings Madeleine Constant, Robert Constant and Roland Constant.

She is survived by three children Betty Ann Richard, Daniel Richard and wife Patricia and Francis Richard, two grandchildren Samantha Walker and husband Patrick, Caleb Richard and two great grandchildren Bentley Walker and Sophia Walker. She is also survived by sisters in law Sandra Constant, Helga Richard and Claire Lapointe and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or to Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
