Artur M. Arczewski, 42, of Alfred, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at home.

He was born in Katowice, Poland on April 9, 1979, a son of Eugeniusz and Jadwiga (Szalkowska) Arczewski.

Art moved to the United States at the age of four. He graduated from Skowhegan High School, class of 1997.

After high school, Art served in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Stewart in Savannah, Georgia. He was crew chief of the Black Hawk, the Army's utility tactical transport helicopter. After the service, Art worked as a contractor for the United States Government for three years on peace keeping missions in Bosnia.

In 2004, Art met his future wife Mindy and they were married on March 4, 2007. He became a United States Citizen on December 9, 2013.

Art was employed by Prime Toyota in Saco for 11 years. He also worked at Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick for the past 5 years.

Art had many interesting hobbies. He enjoyed living on his family farm, raising chickens, ducks and many other animals. He also had strong tech skills. He used his hardware and software skills daily. When time permitted, he would spend time gaming. He also liked to travel. But most of all, he loved to spend time with family, his wife and daughter. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his wife Melinda "Mindy" (Galisa) Arczewski, his daughter Kataryna, his father Eugeniusz Arczewski and his wife Krystyna, his mother Jadwiga Arczewski, mother in law Colleen Toth and husband Paul and father in law David Galisa and Holly Pignatelli. He is also survived by siblings Beata Stolarczyk and Andrzej Arczewski, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Funeral Mass (family requests masks) will be celebrated at 10AM Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 66 North Avenue in Sanford.
