Barbara Frances
St. Pierre
Jul 18, 1948 — Oct 25, 2021
Barbara (Ladd) St. Pierre
Old Orchard Beach
Barbara Frances (Ladd) St. Pierre, 73, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side, on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Seaside Nursing Home in Portland.
Barbara was born in Biddeford on July 18, 1948, a daughter of Harland and Alberta (Cole) Ladd. She graduated from Kennebunk High School. On November 18, 1967, Barbara married her beloved husband, Anthony L. St. Pierre.
Barbara held various jobs in retail throughout her working career and went on to get her Associates Degree. She was employed as an Office Administrator for Standard Electric in Portland.
Barbara was a resident of Lyman for over forty years until the passing of her beloved husband Anthony, who was her primary caregiver. She then moved to Old Orchard Beach to live with her daughter Carla, and was cared for by her until the transition to a nursing facility was needed.
Barbara enjoyed sewing, a skill she learned back when she was in school. Her favorite hobby, however, was genealogy where she and her husband Tony would spend countless hours researching family history and lineages, some tracing all the way back to the early settlers. She had numerous resources and journals that she would use as part of this involved and enjoyable research.
Most of all, Barbara loved her church family and the time they spent together on Temple trips to Boston. She will be sadly missed by many.
Barbara was predeceased by her adoring Husband Anthony L. St. Pierre of 51 years, and Brother William "Bill" Cole.
She is survived by her daughter Carla Dube and her daughter Katherine (Katie) Dube of Old Orchard Beach; her son Dale St. Pierre, his wife Vanessa, and their daughter Erin of Summerville, South Carolina; 1 brother John Cole, 4 sisters Grace Wallace, Kathy Slowik and husband Roy, Helen Ladd, and Alyce Bramblett.
Visiting Hours will be from 11AM – 1PM Thursday, October 28, 2021, with a Funeral Service at 1PM at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco. Burial will follow in Chadbourne Cemetery in Lyman. To view Barbara's memorial page, or leave an online condolence, please visit www.cotefuneralhome.com
