Bernard J. Orodeckis
Biddeford
Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Bernard Joseph Orodeckis passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 79 years young.
The Love of his Life, Sandi Orodeckis of 58 years, three daughters Christine Orodeckis, Pamela Smith and her husband Andrew, Susan Bermeo and her husband Jorge survive him. His five grandchildren that affectionately called him "The Claw", brother Edward Orodeckis and late Thomas Orodeckis also survive him.
Bernie moved up the ladder at Stop and Shop in Waterbury Ct. that lead to a transfer as manager in Salem NH in the early 1970's. From there the pursuit of owning his own business of a pizza and sub shop that, lead him to relocate to Plymouth NH. After 12 years of serving the college students and town of Plymouth, he found his sanctuary for the next 35 years in Maine.
Bernie's passion as a young man was racing his 57 Chevy at the speedway winning many trophies. He enjoyed time with his hunting friend's playing cards and cooking dinners at camp. A true outdoorsman that you would find on the slopes skiing, working in his garden, or canning his relish, jam and pickles. Most of all, he loved the water where you could find him fishing on his boat in the ocean or travelling to the Caribbean with his family.
During the past year with the decline of his health, he found a new pleasurable pastime of tending and watching his bird family.
Many including his four legged furry companions will miss Dad.
The family will be hosting a celebration of his life in summer of 2022.
