Bette June Reilly died tragically on June 28, 2026 in Scarborough, Maine.

Born to Michelina Esposito and Lance Reilly on January 4, 1979, she was a little meatball from the go. She attended Windham & Portland schools and was a proud McAuley girl. She went on to attend Castleton State College, where she majored in business and played a mean game of rugby.

To know Bette was to love Bette, she loved life and was a beacon of light to many. She loved the ocean, was outspoken, curious, and God, was she brave. She lived loudly and loved louder. Her family and friends were everything to her and she made sure you knew it. True to her lineage, if she fed you, she loved you. Bette wore many hats throughout her life. She thrived in the corporate setting in a serious role, was a co-owner of the Pepperclub/Good Egg Cafe in the early 2000's, and later in life chose to slow down and enjoy the view. She loved her job and the people at Pleasant Hall Driving Range in Scarborough, forming meaningful connections with golfers and the owner, Huckie. A piece of her soul will forever remain on those grounds that she loved so dearly.

Bette is predeceased by her beloved Nana, Bettyann Esposito, and her father, Lance Reilly. She is survived by her mama, Michelina Esposito (Westbrook), her big brother who she looked up to from day one, Nathan Walsh (Lewiston) and his wife Caroline, her ex-wife Melissa Sawyer of New Hampshire and her stepson Tuck, countless aunts & uncles, cousins who were always more like siblings, and friends. So many friends.

Music was the tapestry of Bette's life, woven into every moment, every memory. The world is already quieter without her. Please honor her life by giving away kindness freely, finding the light on the dark days, by being brave. She would want that for her loved ones, embody her courageous heart and spread love like she did. We are stronger than we know, and so was she.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
