Carol A. Fredette

Biddeford

Carol A. Fredette, 79, of Biddeford, passed away late Wednesday evening on March 20, 2024, at home.

She was born in Biddeford on September 25, 1944, a daughter of Gerard and Beatrice (Morin) Twomey. She was educated from Thornton Academy.

Carol was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her five children. She met her future husband Rene Fredette in Old Orchard Beach and the couple were married on July 4, 1983.. Carol started her career as a CNA, made a few moves throughout the hospital and eventually made her way to central scheduling in a pre-certification position retiring in 2022.

When time permitted, she would be quilting and knitting items for her family. Many of her hand made treasures are still being admired today by her family. Another favorite pastime was vacationing with Rene, going to Niagara Falls and Washington DC were two of their most memorable trips. But most of all, she loved to spend time with her family. She looked forward to gatherings, special occasions, birthdays and holidays. The family continues to talk about her famous cookies that she would make at many gatherings. She will be sadly missed by many.

She was predeceased by her son John Lamontagne in 1981, her husband Rene Fredette in 2010 and by her sister Marilyn Berthume in 2018

She is survived by her four children Sharon Cote and partner Mark Olson, Susan Lamontagne and partner Becky Oliver, David Lamontagne and partner Anita Crosby and Robert Lamontagne and wife Dawn.
