Carole Ann (Warren) Spiller

SACO- Carole Ann Warren Spiller, 82, of Audubon, Pennsylvania, was called home by the Lord following sudden declining health, on Friday, April 8, 2022.
Her sister Cindy and brother-in-law Chuck were by her side. Carole was born January 8, 1940, daughter of Arthur and Priscilla (Libby) Warren of Saco, Maine. Carole was raised in Saco and attended Saco schools, graduating from Thornton Academy, class of 1958 and from the University of Maine, Orono, class of 1962. Carole's graduation from college was special. Carole shared the stage with her husband, Donald Spiller, her mother, Priscilla Warren and her cousin, Silas Skillin, all graduating with high honors! A proud moment~

Carole and Don both worked and were married while in college. A lot of their courting was in Naples, Maine at their family camps,The Little Brown Jug and Camp Wildmere, water skiing, swimming, campfires and more~ Carole loved sports playing softball, field hockey and basketball in high school and softball in college. Carole was head majorette at TA. and was inducted into TA Sports Hall of Fame. She loved theater, singing and at home Carole and her sisters, Babs and Cindy, spent lots of time singing around the piano with their mom, who sang and played the piano. Her dad, Arthur Warren, played a mean Harmonica! He was a Master Mason, her mother was part of the Eastern Star and Carole was a 'Rainbow Girl' where she started her passion for volunteering and helping others which she did for seventy years.
Carole and Don started their family after college and had two fine sons, Arthur and Andrew.  They were well over 6' tall, Don was 6' 5 1/2"tall and Carole was 5' 4 1/2" . She was so proud of Don and her sons and literally 'looked up ' to them!
Carole still volunteered into her 80's helping those from abuse, fighting human trafficking (children, men and women of all ages), homeless, hotline programs for depression, suicide issues and military hotlines for those needing assistance. She was an active member of the Lower Providence Optimist Group and loved her friends!  They lifted others up and helped with community needs. Carole was with the historic Valley Forge Park and helped in many capacities. Her friends were dear to her.  She loved the Tailor Brigade where she helped with wardrobes for battle re-enactments! Carole loved the Red Hats and friendships. She loved music and helped bands and singers over the years. Carole was manager and booking agent for Special Blendz, an all African American group of talented singers and musicians. Carole and Don loved dancing and they commanded the floor. They danced beautifully and danced a great jitterbug. Audubon, Pennsylvania was their last home for 40 years. Carole and Don had family and friends in Maine and always looked forward to their annual trip to be with them. Carole would always meet up with her TA classmates, lifelong friends and a few college friends.

Carole was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Priscilla (Libby) Warren,

of Saco, Carole's husband, Donald Spiller, of Audubon, who were together for almost 60 years and just  a few weeks ago, her sister Barbara Lee (Warren) Field.  (January 25, 2022).

Surviving Carole are her sons, Art Spiller and his partner, Susan, of Colorado and Andy Spiller and his wife, Maggie and her mother, Lupita, of Texas. Carole dearly loved her grandchildren, Alexandria and Brady, and Katherine. They all were her Pride and Joy. Also surviving are Carole's sister, Cindy (Warren) Estano and husband, Chuck, of Saco, her Brother-in-Law, David Field, of Saco and many Nieces and Nephews.

At the family's request , a private graveside service will be held for both Carole and her sister, Babs. There is a Celebration of Life reception at the Saco Yacht Club on Saturday, June 4th at 1:00pm, where everyone is invited to please join in. The families would love for you to attend and share some great memories. God Bless~
