Cathy L. Camire, 65, of Saco, passed away on Saturday morning, April 4, 2026, at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center - Portland.

She was born in Portland on March 22, 1961, the daughter of Louis LeProhon and Anita (Bourgault) LeProhon. She grew up in Portland and was educated in Portland Catholic School Systems.

Cathy married the love of her life, Steven Camire, on October 29, 1982, at St. Andre's Church in Biddeford. They began their life together in Biddeford before settling in Saco, where they lovingly raised their two sons.

Cathy worked locally in both the healthcare and customer service industries, where she formed many meaningful and lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike.

She enjoyed a variety of hobbies and activities throughout her life. Cathy and Steve were grateful to share many special trips together, traveling to different parts of the United States. She especially looked forward to family camping trips to Sebago and White Lake, where she spent peaceful hours kayaking on the water. Above all, Cathy cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Her presence brought warmth and joy to those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cathy is lovingly remembered by her husband, Steven Camire; her two sons, Justin LeProhon and his wife Angel, and Nicholas Camire; her three grandchildren, Julianna LeProhon, Paten Jones, and Britney Listman; her six siblings, Robert Bourgault, Louise Newsome, John LeProhon, Roseanne Foley, Suzanne LeProhon-Arica, and Angel Roberts; as well as several brother and sister in laws along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cote Funeral Home in Saco. A funeral service will take place the following day at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Cote Funeral Home in Saco.
