Charles G. Rogers Jr., 77, passed away at his home in Old Orchard Beach on the evening of May 31, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Charles was born in Portland, Maine, on May 8th, 1949. He was the son of Charles Sr. and Ellen (Burns) Rogers. He was the eldest of nine children, one sister and 7 brothers following.

Charles married his wife, Denise Sherman Rogers, on November 2nd, 1974. They have two daughters: Alicia Rogers Golden and Vanessa Ellen Rogers, and four grandchildren: Reid Golden, Charlie Golden, Emerson Golden, and Vivian Alice O'Connell. He also has a great-granddaughter: Kinzley lou Harfoush.

Charles worked at Maine Medical Center in Portland for 29 years. He was an avid guitar player and would write a song for each of his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother: John, and sister: Susan.

He is survived by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, his brothers: Paul and wife Maureen, David and his wife Laura, Bill his wife Patty, Thomas, Mark, and Timothy and Melissa, as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be no service as requested by Charles. However, a celebration of life will be held from 2PM-5PM, Sunday, July 19, at the Saltwater Grill located at 231 Front St, South Portland, ME 04106.
