Claire Elaine Lowell, 65, of Micco, Florida, and formerly of Saco, passed away Saturday morning November 5, 2022, at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, Florida, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Claire was born in Biddeford, Maine on February 3, 1957, a daughter of Clifford and Constance (Boisvert) Mondor.  She was educated in the Saco school system, and attended Thornton Academy . On April 28, 1984 Claire married her beloved husband, Gary Lowell, at St. Andre's Church in Biddeford.   They were married 22 years until his passing on July 7, 2006.

Claire was from the generation of those who took pride in working hard.  Early in life she worked at many jobs - 3 at once to provide as a single mother. She then worked in the Biddeford textile, where she had many positions as well as president and vice president of both unions. She also ran her own landscaping business with Gary.   Later in life Claire entered the healthcare industry working as a medical secretary, and in security at Southern Maine Medical Center.

For many years Claire gave selflessly to the care of her aging mother.  Upon her mother's passing, Claire pursued her dream of moving to Florida.  She settled in the city of Micco with her Sister Shirley and husband, Jude Thibodeau.

Claire had many interests and hobbies.  She enjoyed Bingo, and taking trips to Casinos. Foxwoods , Bangor ,Oxford , Atlantic City to gamble... just to name a few. Her favorite games were slots.   She cherished family get-togethers and the time spent with her family and friends.  Most of all she loved her son Brian and her granddaughters.

Claire will be dearly missed by many.

Claire is predeceased by her husband, Gary Lowell; Clifford and Constance (Boisvert) Mondor; and by two sisters, Nancy Maynard and Sandra Mondor.

Claire is survived by her son, Brian Lowell; her granddaughters Morgan Davis , Tamika (Barden) Greene, and Harmony Lowell; nine siblings, Mrs. Shirley (Jude) Thibodeau, Mr. Roger Mondor, Mr. Ron (Ute) Mondor, Mrs. Pat (Tom) Jordan, Mr. Rene (Sue) Mondor, Mrs. Denise (John) Bishop, Ms. Lynn Cebula, Mr. Rick (Lisa) Mondor, Mr. Ray (Laurie) Mondor; as well as several nieces and nephews.
