Col. Carl N. Price, 83, of Marco Island, FL and Old Orchard Beach, Maine died peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2023, after a brief illness at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Carl was born in Star City, West Virginia on August 9, 1940, son of the late Carl J. and Rosalie (Claudio) Price. He graduated from Morgantown High School in West Virginia, and received a BS degree from West Virginia University, and a master's degree from Florida Institute of Technology.

Carl enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country for an impressive 30 years where he was stationed at many bases across the United States, and around the world.  During this time he served one year in Vietnam, and two tours of duty in Germany. He retired from the military in 1992.

He began a second career at the New Hampshire State Veterans Council and worked there until his retirement in 2005.

In 2008 he married the love of his life, Barbara (Thiem) Theriault, and together they enjoyed their retirement years in Old Orchard Beach, Maine and in Marco Island, Florida.

Carl was a man of many interests, particularly sports. He was a follower of Red Sox Baseball, Pittsburgh Steelers Football, and West Virginia Mountaineers Basketball.  He also was a mentor to Tyler and Colby Chute, and supported them with their High School sports.

Carl is survived by his wife Barbara Price, his sister Shirley Laurie, his sister Janice Price, as well as many nieces and nephews.

No services are being scheduled at this time. A gathering of remembrance will take place in West Virginia at a later date.
