Cynthia Robin Leddy (Cindy) was born December 10th, 1958 to Patricia B. (Leavitt) Leddy and Arthur L. Leddy. She attended and graduated from Scarborough High School in 1977.

Cindy was challenged early in her life with a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Despite her heavy burden, she lived with her heart open and full of love. She had a deeply moving voice while singing Joni Mitchell songs; a love for all things music, especially Bon Scott. She was a creative artist whose pencil sketches reflected the thoughts & prayers of her mind. Cindy was a good friend and a beloved mother, sister and daughter.

In her later years, she found solace and chosen family at the Shalom House, where she built deep, meaningful relationships that offered her connection and unconditional love.

Her spirit was luminous and misunderstood. A dear friend of hers once said: 'If the world had more people like Cindy, it would be a better place.' May she now be free, held in the light she always carried inside. You were always more than this world knew how to hold.

She is survived by her children Allyssa Lynn Leddy (Richmond, VA) and Justin David Libby (Freeport, ME), her mother Patricia B. Leddy (Saco, ME); her sister's Susan P. Wright (Gary, Folsom, CA), Sherri Dee Libby (Randall, Scarborough, ME ), her grandson Samuel Mekkelsen (Sanford, ME) and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her father Arthur Leddy.

A remembrance will be held by her family at 11:00am on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at South Buxton Cemetery, 1187 River Rd, Buxton, Maine.
