Daniel D. Donnelly

Biddeford

Daniel D. Donnelly, 75, of Biddeford, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born in Norwich, New York on October 4, 1948.  Daniel was educated at Norwich High School, and upon graduation enlisted in the United States Navy.  After his military service he was employed at various machine shops, and later transitioned to West Point Pepperell where he worked as a welder.

Daniel married his beloved wife, Irene Petrin, in 1991. The couple first lived in Saco, but soon they relocated and made Biddeford there permanent residence.

Daniel and Irene enjoyed many road trips together, often with no particular destination.  Daniel looked forward to his visits to the Portland Bingo halls with Irene as his sidekick. Some of his other interests were deer hunting in November, and taking his Grandchildren on fishing trips to area lakes and ponds.

Most of all, he cherished all the times spent together with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He will be sadly missed by many.

Daniel was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Winifred Donnelly, and by his brother Robert Donnelly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irene Donnelly; by his four children: Lisa O'Connor and husband David, Robin Richardson, Crystal Bishop, and Tony Warren Jr.; by his nine grandchildren: Cody and his significant other Erica, Mhegan, Owen, Robert, Abriel, Fionna, Colleen Marcou and husband Devin, John, and Scott; by six great-grandchildren; Carson, Colby "Daniel", Memphis, Lennox, Ellie and Lilly; and by his sister Fernande Hillsinger.
