Dennis P. Lunt

Dennis Lunt, 70, passed away unexpectedly in his home on October 6, 2026.

Dennis was born in Portland on September 15, 1956, and grew up in Buxton.

Dennis came from a generation of hard workers. He was a truck driver for most of his life. He was also a part of the Standish Fire Department for many years in the early 90s.

Dennis was known for his huge heart and for his loving, thoughtful, and funny personality. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. In his free time, he loved going fishing and woodworking. He enjoyed making little keepsakes for his loved ones. He also loved playing pool when time permitted. However, his favorite activity was spending time with his family. He would do anything for his family, and he will miss them dearly.

Dennis is survived by his daughters: Denise Lunt and partner Jason Whittington, Heather Kneeland and husband Aaron, and Ashley Lunt, his former wife: Sharon D’Agostino, his sisters: Sharon Berry and Phyllis Peterson, and his grandchildren: Gabe, Alex, Kiley, Morgan, Liam, Kendra, Aubree, and Ryker.
