Donald D. Anderson, 90, of Saco, passed away Thursday September 14, 2023 surrounded by family.

He was born in Natick, Massachusetts on October 24, 1932, a son of Gunner and Edna (Eldridge) Anderson. A long time Ocean Park resident, Don spent his childhood and retirement years in Ocean Park and Saco. Don graduated from Thornton Academy and the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Engineering Physics. After retiring from the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant, Don worked in the engineering department at IBM in Owego, New York 34 years.

Don met his wife, Rosetta in Rome, NY. Married for 68 years, the two were always together. While raising their family in Owego, NY, the couple enjoyed tennis, the children's sporting activities and vacations to Maine. Once retired, the couple was active in giving back to the community as volunteers for Meals on Wheels and Trinity Episcopal Church.

Don enjoyed hockey, driving his sons near and far to their hockey games and playing hockey until he was 70 years old.

He was a critical thinker who loved solving problems, collecting memorabilia and researching and documenting his family genealogy.

Don was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Saco.

He was predeceased by one brother, Brian Anderson.

He is survived by his wife Rosetta (Reh) Anderson, three children, John Anderson and wife Katherine, Dave Anderson and wife Kathy and Mary Aruga and husband Masahiro. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
