Obituary

Donald H. Mitchell

Donald H. Mitchell, 61, of Waterboro, and formerly of Old Orchard Beach, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on November 23, 1960, a son of Hershell and Anita (LaBelle) Mitchell.

Donald moved to Dexter, Maine where he started his family and stayed for six years. He found comfort in the same town of Old Orchard Beach, so the family moved to the coastal community to raise their family.

Donald was a hard working man with many talents. He worked as a Journeyman Electrician and helped renovate many hotels and motels in Old Orchard Beach. Most recently, he was known for doing home renovations and remodeling on many projects throughout the area. When Donald was not working he would enjoy time with family, many escapades with his son in laws, his dogs and riding his Harley Davidson.

Donald's caring and generous nature led him to have a special bond with each of his children and grandchildren. His sense of humor and ability to make people laugh, along with his many adventures, will be sadly missed. On all the important days in our lives, and the regular days also, he will always be in our hearts and on our minds.

He was predeceased by four siblings Butch Pelletier, Thomas Mitchell, James Mitchell and Patricia Dorsagno.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Patricia (Morrissey) Mitchell, four children Nicole Morrissey, Sherri Ryea, Donald Mitchell Jr. and partner Brooke and Tiffany Stanley and her husband William. He is also survived by his grandchildren Zack, Courtney, Colby, Cameron, Calvin, Cole, Nicholas, Lilah, Chloe, Bill, Lilly, Richard and one baby grandchild on the way, nieces and nephews.
