Donald W. Stackpole, 82, of Old Orchard Beach, and formerly of Scarborough, passed away late Tuesday evening on June 25, 2024, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in Biddeford on October 4, 1941, a son of William and Isabelle (Giguire) Stackpole.

Donald married his wife Diane Nadeau on April 21, 1973.

He was employed as a barber in South Paris and in Portland for six years. He later spent 48 years at General Dynamics in Saco.

Donald had many interesting hobbies. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, working around his house and garage, reading his kindle and spending time on his computer. But most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, they meant the most to him. He will be sadly missed.

Donald was predeceased by his parents, one son Jamie Stackpole and one daughter Jo-Ann Fletcher.

He is survived by his loving wife Diane Stackpole, and children Robert Fletcher, Carol Couture and husband Paul and Susan Clark. He is also survived by four grandchildren Nicholas Couture, Michael Couture, Nicole Fletcher and Natalie Clark, four great grandchildren Nathaniel, William, Cara and Wesley, one brother Norman Stackpole and several nieces and nephews.
