Doris A. Greene, 86, of Lyman, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Biddeford on January 3, 1936, a daughter of Rita Maurice.

Doris was from the generation of hard work. She had an extensive work history. Earlier, she was employed by Allied Footwear in Saco for 10 years. She later worked for 40 years for Morning Star / Corning in Kennebunk.

Most of all, Doris enjoyed spending time with her family. Some of her favorite pastimes were time spent on Kennebunk Pond, going shopping and most recently precious time spent with her great granddaughter. She will be sadly missed.

Mrs. Greene was a parishioner of St. Phillips Church in Lyman. She was very active within the church always volunteering for many church activities and functions.

Doris was predeceased by her husband Carlton Greene on March 23, 1992 and by two grandsons Derek W. Greene and Gage A. Greene.

She is survived by one son Chandler W. Greene of Portland and by two grandsons, Chandler W. Greene II and Devin C. Greene and great granddaughter Morgan G. Greene.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at St. Philip Church, 404 Goodwins Mills Road, Lyman. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in North Berwick. To view Doris's memorial page or leave an online condolence, please visit www.cotefuneralhome.com
