Dorothy L. Lamothe

Biddeford

Dorothy L. Lamothe, 86, of Biddeford, passed away Saturday evening on August 7, 2021 at home.

She was born in Biddeford on July 1, 1935, a daughter of Oscar and Louisa (Houle) Dubois. She was a graduate of St. Andre's High School in Biddeford.

Dorothy was a parishioner of the former St. Andre's Church in Biddeford while growing up and she got married to her husband John on September 3, 1956 at St. Andre's Church. Throughout the years, they attended St. Joseph's Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

In her early years, Dorothy was employed by Bruce Shoe in Biddeford. She than stayed home to raise her four children as a homemaker. Later, she went back to work for Deering Lumber in Biddeford for nine years. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother and will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her siblings Lucille, Leonel and Rachel.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John R. Lamothe, four children Donna Lamberth and her husband Gary, Denise Garner, Marco Lamothe and his wife Carrie and Peter Lamothe and his wife Mica Slaven and by four grandchildren Andrew Lamberth, Andrea Garner, Erin Leonard and Galen Lamothe and two great grandchildren Darby Leonard and Fiona Leonard.

She is also survived by one sister Claire Miller and her husband Robert and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1PM Monday, August 16, 2021 at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.
