Obituary

Evelyn Tarantino

Evelyn Tarantino, 90, of Saco, passed away Wednesday evening on February 7, 2024, at home.

She was born in Sanford on May 29, 1933, a daughter of Joseph and Emma Rose (Dubois) Dufault.

Evelyn owned and operated Clearview Motor Court in Saco with her husband Charlie for 13 years. She later worked at Saco Defense for 17 years, retiring in 1991.

Evelyn supported her community. She volunteered at the Saco Museum and would often read to children at different daycare programs.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cribbage and going to bingo. She liked to walk and work in her garden.

Mrs. Tarantino was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church and volunteered for their meal programs at the church kitchen.

Most of all, she loved her family and the time they spent together. She will be remembered not only for her faith but for her kindness and generosity to everyone. She will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles L. Tarantino on September 9, 1999, by her sister Dorothy Hartford and by two half brothers George Drouin and Harold Moulton.

She is survived by one brother Edward Dufault and his wife Sharon, several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
