Frank Nadeau, 80, of Biddeford, passed away late Tuesday, Valentine's Day, on February 14, 2023, at home.

He was born in St. Agatha on July 6, 1942, a son of Josephel and Annie (Guerrette) Nadeau. When Frank was young, the family moved to Biddeford and he graduated from St. Louis High School, class of 1959.

After high school, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1959 to 1963. Abroad the USS Hyades, Frank served on several of the ships operations, one of them being the Cuban Missile Crisis in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Frank met his wife Rita at a Valentine's Day dance, three years prior to getting married on June 9, 1962.

Earlier, he was employed by Diamond National in Biddeford for seven years and Deering Lumber for two years. He moved on to working construction throughout York County for the next 10 years. Later, Frank was employed for Pratt & Whitney for 23 years, retiring in 2004.

Frank had many interesting hobbies. Carpentry, gardening and fishing were his favorites. Bowling, playing cards and cribbage were also at the top of the list. Most of all, Frank enjoyed time with his family, especially with his grandchildren Cameron and Kristen. Many holidays, special occasions and family gatherings were enjoyed together. The family will hold on to and cherish these memories forever. He will be sadly missed.

Mr. Nadeau was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church.
