Frederick H. Salene Jr., 51, of Saco, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in Portland on July 14, 1971, son of Frederick Salene Sr. and Linda Marie Thompson. Fred graduated from Bonny Eagle High School, class of 1989.  During his working career he was employed at various restaurants throughout Southern Maine.

Fred had many interesting hobbies and talents.  He was an avid foodie who enjoyed dining out frequently, and would give his recommendations and critiques of area restaurants.  He was a talented artist who would occasionally donate his work to area fundraisers.  He recently supported an event for "Living Innovations" with some of his artwork.  He was a fan of the NY Giants, he enjoyed attending car shows, spending time at the beach, and laying by the poolside on a warm day.

He is survived by his three daughters, Deanna, Jordan and Alexa, and by Jason who he considered to be a brother.
