Gabrielle "Gaby" Plamondon
Gabrielle "Gaby" Plamondon, 89, of Saco, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025 at home.
She was born in Biddeford on May 10, 1935, a daughter of Alphonse and Fedelise (Audet) Pageau. She was educated at Notre Dame de Lourdes School.
Gaby married her husband Richard on June 19, 1965 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Saco.
She was employed by Pepperell Manufacturing in Biddeford for about 10 years. When her children were born she decided to be a stay at home mom and take care of her family.
She also began taking care of children in her home. She made many special relationships with her families that she cherished. She was known to these children as "Matante," (my aunt), and stayed connected to these children lifelong.
Once her children were married or in college, Gaby decided to head back into the workforce. She worked for Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford.
Gaby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, especially her famous clam chowder and working in her flower garden. She also had a great love of cardinals, playing Skip-Bo, and Hallmark Christmas movies. She adored Quincy, her Yorkie, and is surely playing with him now. She will certainly be missed for many qualities, such as her smile and beautiful bright blue eyes, but mostly for her deep love for her husband and family.
She was predeceased by six siblings Marie Carlson, Robert Pageau, Harvey Pageau, Theresa Mansur, George Pageau and Rita Pageau.
She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Richard Plamondon; her son William Plamondon and her daughter Jocelyn Dusablon and husband Nate; grandchildren Stephanie Plamondon Chaloux with Jake, Andrew Dusablon, Lindsay Dusablon, Luke Dusablon and Marc Dusablon; one great grandchild Gabriel Chaloux; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be from 4-7PM Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1PM Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Please consider donating to Hospice of Southern Maine in her honor if able. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.
