Gloria L. Noel

Gloria L. Noel, 87, of Biddeford, passed away at Seal Rock Healthcare on November 29, 2025, after years of struggling with Alzheimer's disease.

Gloria was born in Gardiner, Maine on January 12, 1938, a daughter of James and Lottie (Durgin) Levier.  After growing up in Gardiner, Gloria spent time living in Massachusetts, and then in Kennebunk.

Gloria met her beloved husband, Linwood Noel, in South Portland.  The couple married on July 23, 1960, and initially settled in South Portland. They later lived in Old Orchard Beach, and finally made their permanent home in Biddeford.

Gloria was a wonderful, caring mother who supported her children with all their activities.  She had a number of hobbies and interests, with wood crafts at the top of her list.  She would spend hours cutting out wooden knickknacks with a band saw, and then enjoyed painting what she created. Gloria and Linwood always looked forward to spending time at Sebago Lake.  Most of all she loved the time spent with her grandchildren when they were small, family and friends and her dog Gizmo.

Gloria is predeceased by her husband, Linwood A. Noel who passed away on February 5, 2024, and by her eldest daughter Josie who passed away in 2016.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Stacy, Son-in-Law Adedayo Joshua Fowosele, her sister Nancy Ridge, and her grandchildren, Ashley, Megan, and Loki, and her great-grandchildren James, Madeline, and Caroline.

Burial is private.  A celebration of Gloria's life will take place in the spring/summer of 2026.
