Henry R. Pelletier
Old Orchard Beach
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henry R. Pelletier of Old Orchard Beach. He passed away on May 6, 2026, with his family by his side. Henry was born on June 12, 1937, in Kennebunk to Albert and Marie Pelletier. He graduated from St. Louis High School.
Henry Pelletier married Muriel Labbe at St. Joseph's church in Biddeford on April 27, 1957. They went on to have three children. Henry joined the Navy and when he returned home after serving two tours went to work for Gallagher Refrigeration. In the 70's with only a card table and two folding chairs with his wife by his side, he started Pelletier's Refrigeration (PELRECO) and then came Blue Cold Distributors.
The business offices moved from Grayson St. to Alfred St. to Main St. and he then purchased the old Snows Building in Scarborough. He moved the whole operation to that one location and continued to be the successful business person everyone knew and respected.
He was President of Aerie Eagles both local and state. He was also a member of the AMVETS. He did community work within the social club network. He also enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas and playing gazette with his Eagle buddies.
After selling their large home on Grayson St. in Biddeford Henry and Muriel retired to their beachfront condo in Old Orchard Beach.
Henry was the youngest of four boys and lived life to his fullest. He was sidelined at the age of nine when he was run over by a truck and spent most of that year in rehab learning how to walk. He is forever grateful to the nurses at Trull Hospital.
Henry was predeceased by his wife Muriel Pelletier; his granddaughter, Angela; his great grandson, Eric; and his brothers Roland, Real and Roger.
He is survived by his daughters, Lucille Lank and her spouse Del; Shelley Pelletier and her partner Fred Hoyer; and his son Steven Pelletier; by his grandchildren, Karen Leclerc and her partner Evan Rosset and her son Nicholas and his daughter Morgan, as well as Chuck Leclerc and spouse Melissa and their children Andre and Zoey, as well as by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Services are private. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Biddeford.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a local charity of your choice in Henry's name.
