It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hermance Pelletier Leblanc, of Saco, ME.

A beloved wife, amazing mother & loving grandmama.

She peacefully passed away surrounded by family, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Scarborough, Maine, after a long illness on August 1, 2025.

Hermance was born on February 5, 1950, in St. Benoit, Packington, Canada.

Hermance came from a very large family with her being one of 18 children born to her predeceased parents, Georgette St. Pierre and George Pelletier. She grew up on her parents' family farm and together with her siblings, they would work on the farm. In their past time they would play baseball and go ice skating in the winter.

One of her very first jobs was picking potatoes at Grand Falls New Brunswick.

The house was always full of love, always teasing and bantering with each other, singing, dancing and most importantly, playing music and entertaining anyone who came to visit.

She was educated by the Quebec, Canada school systems.

Hermance later met her charming husband of 57 years in Canada in 1965 and was married on July 1, 1968. They immediately moved to the United States, settling in Biddeford, Maine, where they would start their new life together. She eventually finished her high school career in Biddeford, Maine.

Throughout her life, Hermance had various jobs which allowed her to raise & spend time with family.

Hermance had many hobbies and enjoyed writing and eventually became a spiritual writer for many.

She was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the guitar for the church & singing in the choir for many years.

She had a love of dance and was a great entertainer with her husband, Raymond & son Francis accompanying her with their accordion. For many years the house was full of people all the time.

One of her greatest loves, was being at her family camp in Canada. Everybody was drawn to her. She enjoyed spending so much time with her family and friends in the summers at the lake, where she would plant flowers and garden.

Hermance was a counselor and therapist to all who she came across. She would always give the best advice to whoever needed to hear it. She was a mother figure to all. You felt loved whenever you entered her home.

Her greatest pleasure was dressing in the finest clothes, being known as the famous fashionista. She loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren, reminiscing around the kitchen table, drinking her famous Dunkin' Donuts coffee, sharing stories.

She is survived by her devoted husband Raymond Leblanc of Saco, her son Francis Leblanc of Saco, her daughter Shirley DeGuzman and her husband Dana of Saco, Lorie Hebert and her husband Scott of Dayton, Michelle Blow and her husband James of Saco. For many years she also helped raise her niece Melanie Leblanc Elie.

She is survived by her 8 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Penny.

She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Olivia Sarah Deguzman, and grandson Joshua James Blow and her 4 brothers and 1 sister.

The family would like to thank all the medical staff that assisted in helping to care for Mom during her illness.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, August 20th, at 10AM at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St. Saco, Maine.

A funeral service will follow at 11AM at the funeral home, with a burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
