James D. Peck

Saco

James D. Peck, 65, of Saco, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born in Biddeford on March 15, 1958, a son of Daniel and Germaine (Lamontagne) Peck. He attended Thornton Academy in Saco.

Jim was employed in various industries throughout his working career. He was employed as a tuna fisherman and lobster boat employee. He also drove for Modivcare, a medical transportation company, for many years.

Jim raised and raced homing pigeons. He won many trophies for his hobby. Jim also liked to hunt turkey and deer. But Jim was his happiest when he spent time on the water. He was a long time member of the Saco Yacht Club. Many special memories were made while he was on his boat.

He cherished time with family and friends while playing cards or going to Thornton Academy football games. Jim's many friends, both longtime and recent, were a part of his extended family. He will be sadly missed.

He was predeceased by three sisters Helen Sylvestre, Margaret Brown and Shirley Peck and by two brothers Dan Peck and Bob Peck.

He is survived by his sister Joyce McGee and her husband John and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring, date and time to be announced. His burial will be at sea as he requested.
