Lieutenant Colonel Retired James H. Thibeault, 92, of Saco, passed away Wednesday afternoon on December 4, 2019, at the Gettysburg Center in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

He was born in Biddeford on August 6, 1927, a son of Joseph and Isabel (Sullivan) Thibeault.

James graduated from St. Louis High School, class of 1946. He attended the University of Maine for two years and graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies and Education.

James served his country for 30 years, Lieutenant Colonel Retired, United States Army.

He loved to travel, traveling all over the world, from Antarctica to Cuba to Europe just to name a few areas. He spent his summers in Kinney Shores, Saco, spring and fall in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania and winters in Spring Hill, Florida.

Mr. Thibeault was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.

He was predeceased by three siblings Jacqueline Moles and Paul and Robert Thibeault.

He is survived by nieces Jane, Jill, and Elaine as well as nephews John, James and Paul.

A Graveside Service will be held this summer at St. Mary's Cemetery in Biddeford.
