Janet A. Champagne, 81, of Biddeford, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

She was born in Biddeford on October 8, 1941, a daughter of Lucien and Louise (Guilbeault) Roy. She graduated from St. Andre's High School in Biddeford.

Janet's caring nature led her to a career as a Certified Nurse's Assistant in 1959. She helped many patients while working at Notre Dame Hospital and Southern Maine Medical Center, retiring in 2010. One patient was quoted saying " When Janet was on duty, you are well taken care of ". She made many relationships with her patients that she deeply cherished. She will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents, an infant daughter Mary, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Hill and husband Craig, granddaughters Cassandra Hill and partner Sean and Merissa Perreault and husband Kyle, and two great grandsons Jayce and Cedric Perreault. She is also survived by one sister Jackie Fontaine, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Committal Prayers will take place at 1PM on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.  A decade of the Rosary will be prayed as part of this gathering in honor of Janet's devotion to our Blessed Mother.

The family would like to thank the Hospice of Southern Maine Home Health team, Erica RN, Julia SW and Shirley and Teena for guidance and Pris for her caregiving. We also appreciate the Gosnell staff, Father Alex Boucher, Chaplain David and Louise for all their care and support.
