Jeannette Jarry, 94, of Lyman, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, April 10, 2023, at home.

She was born in Baker Lake, New Brunswick, Canada on January 4, 1929, a daughter of Sylvio and Rosanne (Collins) Caron. In 1947, the family moved to Biddeford, when Jeannette was 18 years old.

On July 2, 1949, she married her husband Edward H. Jarry at St. Andre's Church in Biddeford. They were married for 61 years, until his passing in 2012.

Jeannette worked in various industries including Kesslen Shoe Company, Joe's Doughnut Shop and Wanngon's Coffee Shop. She later worked out of her home as a seamstress for many years. Most of all, Jeannette loved her family, being a homemaker and raising her family. She was a devout wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and arts and crafts.

Mrs. Jarry was a devout Catholic, saying her rosary daily and singing at the French and English masses though out the years. She taught CCD, was a Eucharist minister and served food for the Meals on Wheels program. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Good Shephard Parish. .

She was predeceased by her husband Edward, one brother Yvon Caron and two sisters Gilbert Clark and Leona Fulton.

She is survived by six children Leonard Jarry and wife Dot, Daniel Jarry and wife Dot, Linda Neault, Susan Doyon and husband Gerard, Theresa Berry and Debra Poirier and husband Patrick. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be from 4-7PM Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, Saco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00PM Friday, April 14, 2023, at St. Joseph's Church, Biddeford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.
