Jennifer L.
Boudreau
Jul 4, 1975 — Jul 29, 2022
Saco
Jennifer L. Boudreau
Jennifer L Boudreau "Boudie", 47, passed away on July 29, 2022 surrounded by family at her childhood home following a courageous and fierce battle with cancer. She was born in Biddeford, Maine on July 4, 1975, a daughter of Jeffrey and Wendy (Pond) Boudreau.
Jennifer (Jen) grew up in Saco, Maine, attended Saco primary schools and graduated from Thornton Academy in Saco, class of 1993, where she excelled as both a student and an exceptional athlete playing 2 years of field hockey, 2 years of soccer and 4 years of basketball and softball.
Jen's kind, compassionate, and hardworking personality led her to pursue a career in healthcare. She attended the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine where she continued to excel in both academics and athletics, basketball and softball, alongside her childhood and lifelong friend Leslie (Collins) Constantine, graduating class of 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
Upon graduating, she began her career as a licensed physical therapist at Southridge Rehabilitation and Living Center in Biddeford, Maine, where she worked for 20 years. She also worked briefly for Kindred at Home and held various per diem positions at local skilled nursing facilities.
Her passion for the work she did and the people she cared for remained palpable right up to her passing. Whether it be cracking a joke, making a silly face, or flashing that beautiful smile and those baby blues to brighten someone's day, Jen loved being able to positively impact the lives of people around her, always going out of her way to do so.
During her time at Southridge, she met the love of her life, Kristen, who she was with for 13 years and married to for 4 years. The people she met and the friendships she built became, as she liked to say, "her second family", but her time with Kristen and their kids Kayley, Jack, and Sophia was where she found the most joy. Being a supportive mother and loving wife was what she was most proud of and her biggest motivation in life - helping her kids with schoolwork, coaching their teams, teaching them life's values, and being their number one fan at all sporting events, dance shows, and cheering competitions.
Outside her career Jen valued her lifelong friendships and continued her love for athletics. She was a member of Maine's National Women's Football Association's inaugural team in 2002, playing as a starting running back for 2 years with Maine Freeze and 1 year with Southern Maine Rebels. She continued to play recreational softball and was also an inspirational women's basketball coach for several years at Thornton Academy. She enjoyed teaching herself to play guitar, gardening, grocery shopping and cooking, spending time with family, epic 4 th of July birthday celebrations at camp, annual gatherings with college friends, Bourbon nights with the gang, Sunday football food fests at home and most recently pursuing her new passion for woodworking.
She was predeceased by her mother Wendy A Boudreau, on August 19, 2015.
She is survived by her wife Kristen (Belanger) Boudreau, three children Kayley, Jack, and Sophia, her grandmother Eleanor P. Boudreau and her father Jeffrey R. Boudreau. She is also survived by 3 siblings, Jason Boudreau and his wife Megan (Fecteau), Jessica Boudreau, Julie (Boudreau) Cyr and her husband Nik, and 6 nieces and nephews, Paige, Jaigan, Lily, Hunter, Tyler, and Emery.
To know Jen was to Love her, she was authentic and loved life. She made many friends and touched so many lives. She will be sadly missed.
