Obituary

Jimmy Morin

Saco

Jimmy Morin, 52, of Saco, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 14, 2021.

He was born in Biddeford on September 6, 1969, son to Gaetan and Claudette (Leblanc) Morin.

Jimmy graduated from Biddeford High School, class of 1988. After high school he went to work for Hannaford (Shop n'Save) from 1985 to present, where he worked with dedication for most of his adult life.  Jimmy was known for giving it his all with everything he took on, both in providing for his family, as well as being very hard-working and dependable in the workplace.

Jimmy married his wife Denise Michaud on October 2, 1993. They raised two lovely girls together, Katy and Sophia Morin.

Jimmy was quite a jokester, with a great sense of humor.  Jimmy would seek out opportunities to either catch people off guard with an unexpected comment, or he would find ways to embarrass those closest to him to get a good rise and laugh.  One great example of this was when the muffler fell off of his car and the girls begged him not to use it to drive them to school.  Instead of going along with their request, he piled them in and brought them to class with the thunder of a broken exhaust and the roar of his laughter filling the air as he shouted "I love you, have a good day" as he drove away.

He was a fan of sci-fi and horror movies and absolutely loved music of all kinds. However, he was a true 80's Metalhead, some of his favorite bands were Iron Maiden, Dio and Metallica. And he went to as many concerts as he could.

Jimmy's other interests were numerous. He enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. He loved to experiment growing new vegetables and he will always be remembered for his many varieties of tomatoes. He loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, riding his scooter and spending time at the beach.  His dog Kobe was very dear to him and they were inseparable.

Jimmy was very proud of his French-Canadian heritage and being bi-lingual so he could not only converse in French with his relatives, but customers in his workplace. The cultural upbringing he received from his Quebec-born mom and dad shaped much of who he was. Getting together for parties and celebrations with family and friends brought him so much joy. He was known as "Mr. Entertainment"

Most of all, Jimmy loved his family and the time they spent together making special memories.

He will be sadly missed beyond any words could ever truly express.

He is survived by his wife Denise Morin of 28 years, daughter Katy Morin (fiancé Stephen St. Amand), and daughter Sophia Morin (boyfriend Aaron Tull).  He is also survived by his parents Gaetan and Claudette Morin, his brother Kevin Morin, nephews Dominic Morin, Alex Morin, His father and mother-in-law, Roosevelt & Carol Michaud, sister-in-law Yvonne A Bogatses (James), niece & nephew Christina & Andrew Bogatses, Oliver C Michaud (Linda), Bruce M Michaud (fiancé Sherri Cyr), nephew Tyler Houde, and his best friend Kyle Goncalves, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
