John "Jean" Boissonnault

John "Jean" Boissonnault, 89, of Saco, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in Biddeford on January 6, 1937, a son of Benoit and Louise (Danis) Boissonnault.

John graduated from Biddeford High School, class of 1955. He went on to the University of Miami in 1959, with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics.

John had many various ventures in business. He was employed for Corning in Kennebunk for several years. He later worked for Transistor of Vermont and as a consultant in Barbados. He also owned and operated McNeils's Motel in Old Orchard Beach for 10 years. He retired in 2001.

He was a member of the Biddeford Saco Lodge of Elks, Eagles and St. Louis Alumni.

He was predeceased by his wife Evi (Hoppe) Boissonnault on August 5, 1998.

He is survived by his sister Priscilla Guilbeault and his brother Paul Boissonnault, one niece and two nephews.

Services are private. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
