John C. Vitali

John C. Vitali, 73, of Saco, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco.

He was born in New Britain, Connecticut on October 27, 1949, a son of Merle and Anastasia (Sifodaskalakis) Vitali.

John was educated in the New Britain school system, and attended Southington High School.

John managed the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter in New Britain.  He later relocated to Springfield, Massachusetts and worked for the Seven Gables Inn for 8 years.

John had many interesting hobbies. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting baseball cards and tropical fish. He also liked photography, cooking (especially the family "Vitali" spaghetti sauce) and watching movies. Most of all, he loved to spend time outside camping and fishing with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

He was predeceased by his sister Laurie Pasco and brother Kenneth Vitali.

He is survived by his son, Richard M. Vitali and wife Brenda and three grandchildren, Owen, Jackson and Isabella. He is also survived by three siblings, Ricky Vitali and wife Christina, Janet Kolodziej and husband Roman and Linda Vernale as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
