Kazimierz Kowal, 66, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, passed away at home on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

He was born in Rybna, Poland on November 26, 1959, a son of Czeslaw and Janina (Plecka) Kowal. Kazimierz served as a helicopter mechanic in Poland’s Air Force. He married Malgorzata Bajorek, in Krakow on July 7, 1983. In 1985 the young couple immigrated to the United States where he began a 33 year career with CMP. As an electrician and talented tradesman, he brought skill and dedication to his work. They fondly made their home in Old Orchard Beach.

Kazimierz, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Kaz”, had many hobbies and talents. He enjoyed taking walks on the beach, listening to music, and making sculptures out of wood. In his later years he developed an interest in painting, and found great joy in creating canvas pieces that he gave as gifts to his family and friends. Kazik and Malgosia were lucky to travel from the Amazon rainforest to the deserts of Egypt to the Great Wall of China.

Kazimierz will be remembered with love and deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Kazimierz was predeceased by his parents, Czeslaw and Janina Kowal.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Malgorzata; his two children, Karolina and her partner Kyle, and Michael and his wife Bianca; and his two grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He also leaves behind a sister and brother in Poland, as well as nieces and a nephew.

Visitation will be from 3:00PM to 5:00PM, with a funeral service beginning at 5:00PM on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at Cote Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private.
