Keith E. Niles

Saco, ME- Keith E. Niles, age 78, passed away early Saturday morning, May 14, 2022 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in Brunswick, ME on April 17, 1944, and was the son of Carroll E. and Bertha L. (Lavoie) Niles. He graduated from Freeport High School in 1962 and went on to receive an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Maine Technical Institute in 1964. He spent seven years in the Air Force National Guard.

Keith married his wife and high school sweetheart, Cheryl LaFreniere on July 4, 1964.

Keith was employed by Central Maine Power for 42 years, retiring in 2006.  During their retirement, Keith and Cheryl enjoyed 12 winters of snowbirding in Kissimmee FL, where they made many long lasting and cherished friendships.

Most of all, Keith enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved watching his daughter and his grandchildren's sporting events and activities. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cheryl Niles, one daughter, Jennifer Cronshaw, her husband, Scott, and his grandchildren, Emelia and Dominic. He is also survived by one sister, Charlene Menard, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
