Old Orchard Beach – Kenneth S. Dolby, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

Born in Biddeford on May 20, 1948, Ken was the son of Frederick and Florence (McDonald) Dolby. He was a proud graduate of Thornton Academy, Class of 1966. Shortly after, he served his country with honor as a member of the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War, completing his service in 1971. Ken later earned a bachelor's degree in business and construction from the University of Southern Maine.

On February 21, 1970, Ken married his high school sweetheart, Paula Barnes, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and countless memories.

Ken dedicated 39 years of his career to Central Maine Power as a field planner. Outside of work, he had a lifelong passion for cars, especially classic models, though nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with his family. He and Paula cherished their travels together and their winters in Northport, Florida, where they enjoyed 13 years of sunshine and community.

Ken delighted in supporting his grandsons, whether cheering from the sidelines at baseball games or enjoying thoughtful games of chess. His deep devotion to his family and the quiet strength of his presence will be remembered always.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Paula; his daughters, Kate and Jill; and his five cherished grandchildren: Luka, Grant, Killian, Lochlan, and Kahler.
