Obituary

Kristen Philbrick (Moreau)

Biddeford

Kristen Philbrick (Moreau), 36, a gentle, pure, and radiant soul, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 9th, 2025, in Biddeford Maine. She was a nurturing, happy-go-lucky presence who brought warmth and light into every room she entered.

Kristen was born in Bath, Maine, on July 20th, 1988, a daughter of Katherine Dore (Galligan) and George Moreau.

While attending Bonny Eagle and Massabesic High School, Kristen was a part of many different activities and clubs including cheer, track, and field hockey.

After high school, her interest in cosmetology and microblading flourished. Her passion for health and self-care reflected the way she cared for others. With thoughtfulness, curiosity, and deep love at the forefront of mind. But above all, she was devoted to her daughters, pouring her heart into creating fun, meaningful memories. Whether it was a spontaneous adventure or a quiet moment together, she made the ordinary feel magical.

She had a gift for laughter and never took herself too seriously. A true goofball at heart, she embraced silliness and joy, never afraid to be herself. Her authenticity and playful spirit made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

Kristen was musically inclined; always singing and dancing, especially to R&B. She was no stranger to karaoke and would often hum to herself as she indulged in her hobbies. Her creative nature was well known among all those who knew her. She enjoyed browsing Pinterest for inspiration, and whether it be interior design, fashion and beauty, tending to flowers, or admiring candles, she threw herself into her craft with ease.

She was also known for her love of nature. It wasn't unusual to find her on a hike or tanning on the beach, accompanied by her family and friends. She was a lover of seafood and amusement rides, and all cats, inspired by her own cat Katherine Sara, and her grand-cat Thomas.

Kristen is survived by her two daughters, Alexa Moreau and partner Anthony Butler, and Ava Philbrick, her mother Katherine Dore and husband Fred, her father George Moreau, her former stepfather Forest Poole, her grandmother Marion Galligan, her granddaughter Ila Butler, her two brothers Aidan Poole and partner Miranda, and Avery Poole and partner Maddy, her sister Courtney Mann, Alexa's father Troy Pelletier, Ava's father and Alexa's stepfather Jesse Philbrick, partner Zachary Tenenbaum, her nephews Kylan, Jaidan, and Dom Poole, her uncle and aunt Tim and Kelly Gerding, her cousins Sara Marrs and partner Ryan, Dani Evers and partner Mitchell, and Garrett Gerding and partner Hannah, and her brother and sister in law Mike and Raquel Corey. She is also survived by her friends, Kassi Ronan, Celena Barone, Angelina Chase, Ashley Servideo, Melissa Aucoin, Julie Bayley, Melissa Butler, Alivia Toots, Mandy Hawkins, and of course, her beloved cat Katherine Sara.

Kristen was predeceased by her Grandfather Eugene Galligan and Uncle Daniel Galligan.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unapologetic self-expression. She will be missed dearly, but her spirit lives on in the stories, smiles, and hearts of those who loved her.
