Larry "Lee" Allen Jr., 45. of Kennebunk, passed away early Tuesday morning on September 14, 2021, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

He was born in Covington, Georgia on November 24, 1975, a son of Larry and Shelbie (Parlor) Allen.

Lee graduated from Early County High School in Blakely, Georgia, class of 1994. After high school, Lee enlisted into the United States Marines and became one of The Few, The Proud, The Marines. He served for eight years, a period of his life he was extremely proud of and a time he never forgot.

After his service, Lee was employed as a prison guard for Rogers State Prison in Baxley, Georgia and for the Bureau of Prisons in Brunswick, Georgia for many years. Lee switched careers and went into transportation industry. He worked as a truck driver for several years.

Lee enjoyed online gaming, camp fires and time with family. He cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

He was predeceased by his father Larry L. Allen Sr.

He is survived by his mother Shelbie Philmon and her husband Terry, his children Devyn Allen and Madi Allen. He is also survived by four siblings Clint Allen, Scotty Allen, Amy Allen and Steven Allen and his wife Dawn, many nieces and nephews.
