Leo Gregoire, 90, of Biddeford, passed away early on Thursday morning on August 29, 2024 at home.

He was born in Augusta on January 22, 1934, a son of Romeo and Diana (Rouillard) Gregoire. He graduated from St. Louis High School. He supported his Alma mater throughout the years. He always volunteered for the alumni events and committees.

Leo enlisted in the United States Marines to serve his country in August of 1954.

He was employed by Nissan Bakery and Westpoint Stevens for many years, retiring in 2000.

Leo had many interesting hobbies. He was an avid golfer and ranger at Dunegrass Country Club in Old Orchard Beach. He looked forward to his yearly golfing trips with his sons and his golfing buddies. These yearly trips were throughout the state and also in Myrtle Beach.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife Constance "Bad Connie" throughout the United States. They took many cruises and even renewed their wedding vows in Hawaii. Dancing and playing cards were weekly events for the couple. Family meant the most to Leo, he cherished the time they spent together. Special occasions, holidays and family gatherings were his favorites. He will be sadly missed by many.

He was predeceased by his wife Constance Gregoire on January 25, 2019, an infant brother Norman and sister Germaine Deschenes.

He is survived by three children Norman L. Gregoire, Susan Bowden and husband Wayne and Brian Gregoire and partner Sheila Finamore, two grandchildren Jennifer Laptewicz and Preston Bowden and wife Shannon Chrisholm, two great grandchildren Juliette and Jenson, nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held 1PM Friday, September 6, 2024, at Maine Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
