Lorraine L. Beaulieu
Lorraine L. Beaulieu, 99, of Scarborough, passed away on March 21, 2023, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
She was born in Biddeford on May 21, 1923, a daughter of Louis and Alda (Roy) LeRoux. She went to St. Joseph's Elementary School and attained her High School GED later in life.
Lorraine married her husband Walter on September 5, 1942. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed raising her family and also worked full time.
Earlier, she was employed by West Point Pepperell in Biddeford for 17 years. She also owned and operated the Sea Cliff House in Old Orchard Beach (a rooming house) with her husband for several years.
Mrs. Beaulieu was a woman of great faith. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and then St. Margaret's church where she was a volunteer CCD teacher.
Some of Lorraine's favorite pastimes were playing cards on Saturday nights with family and close friends, knitting, riding her bike and golf cart and wintering in Florida with her husband Walter of 53 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter Roger Beaulieu, four children Vivian Kozlowski, Lionel Beaulieu, Michelle Egan and Jo Ayotte, two grandchildren Kristine Braker and Todd Kozlowski, brother Paul Leroux, and sisters Dorothy Rich, Bella Cote, Beatrice Morrissette Masse, Lilian Talbert, Gabriel Anges, Emelda Herchabise, Simone Remillard and Mable LaRiviere.
She is survived by two children Elizabeth Hart and Theresa Wellborn and husband Bart, grandchildren Wendy, Cindy, Heidy, Martin, Michael, Guy, Lucas Roger, Andrea, Lucas James, and Charles, and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two son in laws Tom Egan and Renald Ayotte and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be from 10:30AM-12:30PM on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00PM Friday, March 31, 2023, at St. Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach. After Mass a luncheon will be held at Duffy's Restaurant in Old Orchard Beach, beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will be at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford at a later date.
