Obituary

Lucille M. Beaupre

Biddeford

Lucille Muriel Beaupre, 88, of Biddeford, Maine, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Lucille was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on December 14, 1933, a daughter of Joseph and Hermance (Simoneau) Gagnon.  She was educated in the Manchester school system, and was a parishioner of St. Marie's parish in that same town.  On June 30, 1958 Lucille married her beloved husband, Norman Beaupre, at St. Andre's Church in Biddeford.  They began their life together in Biddeford where they raised their beautiful daughter, Diane.

Lucille was a deeply caring mother and homemaker, but she was happy to enter the workforce to help support the family when her husband Norman returned to college.  She worked at the Pepperell Mills, at Delorge's Sunbeam Bakery, and for the lunch program with the Biddeford School System.

Lucille's Catholic faith was very important to her and was an integral part of who she was.  She and Norman were faithful communicants and devoted supporters of St. Joseph Church, in Good Shepherd Parish, Biddeford.  Being involved in parish life blessed them with many good friends.  Later in life they would attend daily Mass at Most Holy Trinity in Saco and St. Joseph's Convent in Biddeford.

Lucille and Norman loved to travel, and were fortunate to visit many parts of the country, and the world.  Some of their favorite destinations were Paris, Rome, eastern Europe and Prague.  Lucille also enjoyed spending time at the beach, over the years she had acquired quite the collection of shells she found at various beaches she visited.

Most of all, Lucille loved the time spent with family and friends.  She will be sadly missed by many.

Lucille was predeceased by her brother Paul Gagnon; her two sisters, Jeanne Gagnon, and Gertrude Gagnon-Lachance; and her son-in-law Donald Winterhalter.

Lucille is survived by her husband Norman R. Beaupre; her daughter Diane Beaupre of Biddeford; and her sister Pauline Gagnon of Florida.
