Madeleine H. Morrison, 85 of Saco, passed away peacefully Friday morning on March 8, 2024, with family by her side, at Avita of Wells.

She was born in Montreal, Quebec on November 8, 1938, a daughter of Oscar A. and Dora A. (Pothier) Rochon. As a child, Madeleine moved with her family to the United States. She went to Biddeford schools, graduated from St. Andre High School, and then in 1957 became a naturalized citizen.

Madeleine was a homemaker who loved raising her family. During this time, she also worked for the family business as a bookkeeper. After her children were grown, Madeleine earned a degree then began a career in social work. She loved helping others and had found her calling, and for many years worked for Counseling Services Inc.

Madeleine enjoyed bowling, jigsaw puzzles and spending time at her Northern camp called Shiloh. But most of all she loved her family and friends. The time they spent together created many fond and special memories. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and a great friend. Her grandchildren smile as they recall her competitive side while playing card and board games. She used to say "too bad so sad" after each decisive victory. These stories and memories will be passed on to the future generations. She will be sadly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Norman Morrison and her sister Lorraine Ketchum. She is survived by her three children Bill Guay and wife Kathryn, David Guay and wife Betty and Ken Guay and partner Jillian Johnson - ten grandchildren Ken Thompson, Kaylie Thompson and Partner Patrick Coomer, Lauren Farrell and husband Dylan, Greg Guay and wife Brandi, Maggie Boemmels and husband Seth, Cassandra Lariviere and wife Erica, Tasha Guay and partner Peter, Gabby Guay, Madison Johnson and Tony Tarr - seven great Grandchildren Noah, Caleb, Langley, Carson, Leo, Josie and Gwen. She is also survived by two nieces Debbi and Linda and one nephew John.
