Margaret Regis

Margaret Regis, 93, of Saco, passed away Sunday afternoon on July 20, 2025 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Biddeford on August 22, 1931, a daughter of Elizabeth and Nico Vangel. Margie graduated from Thornton Academy.

On January 29, 1956, she married the love of her life Roland "Cowboy" Regis.

Margie was employed by Webber Hospital in Biddeford. Her career in healthcare began in the business office and continued for many years as a certified coder in the Medical Records Department. She cherished the relationships she made at the hospital and spoke highly of them throughout the years.

Outside of her career, Margie enjoyed traveling with her husband Roland and her close friends to various destinations. She also was known for being an accomplished cook and having a beautiful flower garden on the grounds of her home.

Family and close friends meant the world to Aunt Margie. Holidays and special occasions were the best. She will be remembered for her generosity and thoughtfulness towards others. She was the happiest surrounded by her family, friends and surrogate children. She will be sadly missed by many.

She was predeceased by her husband Roland Regis, her husband of 57 years, until he passed in 2013. She was also predeceased by two sisters and one brother.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, close friends and many extended family members.

Graveside Prayers will be held at 2PM Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco.
