Martha Martel

Martha Martel, 86, of Lord Pepperell Apartments, Saco, passed away Sunday evening on October 16, 2022, after a period of declining health.

Martha was born in Biddeford on December 23, 1935, a daughter of Phillip and Marion (Powers)  Kopetski.

Martha graduated from Biddeford High School, class of 1956.

Martha and her late husband, Norman Precourt, owned and operated the Little Red School House in Biddeford, for many years. They enjoyed the friendships and memories they made over the years.

She also had a long career working as an insurance agent with her daughter in Old Orchard Beach, retiring in 2005.

She was a member of the Voltigeur Club in Biddeford.

Martha had many hobbies, including shopping, going to lunch with the girls and traveling. Some of her most memorable times were shopping for shoes, purses and trips to Florida with her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Phillip, Jr. and sister, Patricia.

She is survived by her brother John Kopetski and his wife Carol of Georgia, her sister in law, Dotty Kopetski of Arundel, her children, Catherine Mondor and her husband Dennis of Shapleigh, Patricia Ross of Somersworth, NH and Robert Ross Jr. and his wife Patti of Saco, many grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
